Motherhood is full of invisible moments — the late nights, the mental load, the wondering if you’re doing enough.
On Sunday, February 22, Houston moms and their kids are invited to a special free community experience at Sunday Press Coffee in The Heights that’s simple, heartfelt, and surprisingly powerful.
Alongside a book signing for This Wasn’t the Plan: What Motherhood Taught Me About Work, Worth, and Wanting More, families will take part in “According to My Kid” — a quiet, hands-on moment where children complete one sweet prompt:
“My mom is really good at…”
Kids can write or draw their answers while moms enjoy a hot cup of coffee in peace. The cards become a keepsake — a rare glimpse into how children truly see their moms in a season when many women feel stretched thin or unseen.
For every completed card, $1 will be donated to Girls Inc., supporting programs that build confidence and leadership in local Texas girls.
